Privacy notice

Who runs this site

Daniel Richter runs this site and decides how your details are used. Contact: steve.gardiner@me.com.

Who provides the site

This site is provided by Consolync, a service of Crew Entertainment LTD (United Kingdom). Consolync acts as a processor: it handles your details on behalf of the artist and only on their instructions.

What we use your details for

We use the details you give us for these purposes:

  • Sending you messages from the artist, such as news and releases, where you have given your consent.
  • Replying to enquiries you send us, on the basis of legitimate interests.
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse, which is Consolync's own legitimate interest.

Who receives them

We use these service providers to run the site:

  • Supabase — database (EU/UK)
  • Vercel — hosting (global edge network)
  • Cloudflare — media storage (R2) (global)
  • SendGrid / Twilio — sending messages (US)
  • Resend — service email (US)

How long we keep them

We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and for no longer than we need them for the purposes above.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, object to how they are used, or withdraw your consent at any time. Contact steve.gardiner@me.com to do so.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, or to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU.

Cookies

This site doesn't use cookies to track you. Videos and players load only when you press play, and then YouTube or Spotify may set their own cookies.

Precise location (optional)

After you join, your browser may ask whether to share your device's location. If you allow it, Daniel Richter's provider Consolync receives your device's coordinates (latitude and longitude) and how accurate they are, and sends them to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's Nominatim service to find your town or city. Daniel Richter uses this only to see where fans are and to tell you about shows near you. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and nothing is stored on your device.

You can say no with no effect on your sign-up; we then use the approximate location your connection already gives us. To withdraw, turn off location for this site in your browser, or email steve.gardiner@me.com and we will delete the coordinates.

Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). California residents: precise geolocation is sensitive personal information, and you can ask us to limit its use.

Advertising measurement

Daniel Richter uses Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure its ads. When you visit this site, our provider Consolync sends Meta your IP address, browser type and the page you viewed, and — if you sign up — a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email or phone number. Nothing is stored on your device.

You can turn this off: set your browser to send a Global Privacy Control signal and we will not send these events. You can also control ad use in your Meta settings at facebook.com/adpreferences.
