Daniel Richter Releases Patience, A Five Track EP Capping His Breakthrough Run in Christian Music

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The award winning worship artist pairs a brand new title track with the four singles that charted at radio and earned him multiple award wins and nominations.
Daniel Richter has released Patience, a new five track EP that brings together the songs that defined his move into Christian music, led by a brand new title track written solely by Daniel.
The EP collects the run of singles that established him at Christian radio. “Light That Shines,” co-written with Brian Howes, was added by more than 25 stations including UCB, Shine FM and JOY Radio, spent four consecutive weeks in the More Radio Top 5 with a peak of number 2, and went on to win CCM/Pop Song of the Year at the 2026 CCA Awards. “Dear God,” co-written with Ron Lopata and Andy Stochansky, reached number 6 on More Radio, and “Jesus Be The Centre” followed at number 5.
Most recently, “Motivation,” co-written with Matthew Kahane, climbed to number 4 on More Radio and number 24 on the CCRC chart, his highest CCRC position to date. The single was also named Track of the Week on The Hope FM Breakfast Show.
“These songs carried me through a season of learning to trust God’s timing,” says Daniel. “Patience felt like the right name for this collection. Every one of these releases came from a moment of waiting on Him, and I hope they meet listeners in their own seasons of waiting.”
Patience arrives in the middle of a strong awards season. Alongside his CCA win, Daniel picked up four further CCA nominations, including Songwriter of the Year for both “Dear God” and “Light That Shines,” and Praise & Worship Song of the Year for “Jesus Be The Centre.” He also took home a Song of the Year award at the 2026 Selah Music Awards from three nominations, including Male Artist of the Year, and won Favourite Top Canadian Song at the Ministry Excellence Awards, where he holds 2026 Listener Choice nominations for Top Canadian Artist and Top Canadian Song.
Before stepping into worship music, Daniel fronted Eleven Past One, signed to Warner Music, whose Gold certified single “The World Is Ours” charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in Canada. Today he also serves as worship leader and music director at his local church, and his music blends pop, worship and indie influences in the spirit of artists like Phil Wickham and Brandon Lake.
Patience is available now on all major streaming platforms.
